HARDWARE
Terra Systems seeks to disrupt the construction, mining, infrastructure industries by way of designing, manufacturing hardware and developing software to enhance productivity and increase efficiency of the work horse machines that serve these industries. The Mckinsey Global Institute has estimated that $57 trillion worth of construction and infrastructure investments will be required by 2030 just to keep up with the global economy. For infrastructure and construction companies that translates into a steady 4 percent annual growth rate. Despite the positive outlook, the sector is struggling with stagnating productivity and low profit margins in many markets. The construction, mining & infrastructure industries which account for nearly 15% of global GDP rely on workhorse machines (i.e. loaders, excavators & dozers) to ensure proper, in budget and timely execution of projects. However, the machines that perform nearly 80% of all construction and mining works do not have the means to effectively measure and monitor productivity.
Terra Systems proprietary hardware is specifically designed to enhance productivity and efficiency within high utilization construction, quarry, mining and infrastructure environments. The key value proposition for our hardware is that based on the design and composition the end user experiences increased productivity in terms of materials moved and increased endurance on part of the hardware which translates into real cost savings for user.
SOFTWARE
The 4 billion dollar construction software industry is still in its infancy as it relates to applications that enable operators and managers to monitor and optimize production. Although, OEM's have taken steps towards telematics and machine control systems that attempt to do just that, these systems are antiquated at best and provide the operator with 2D functional representations of site topography with directional production estimates. Further, these machine control systems are generally equipped in newer model machines for a significant price premium and are prohibitively expensive to install and/or retrofit into older machines.
Terra Systems develops synergistic software to measure and enhance productivity at machine, site and project level. Our software operates on a ubiquitous platform and leverages advanced GPS and sensor technology to collect real time information on site topography, materials displaced, payload weight, depth, soil moisture and much more. This enables operators and managers alike to access mission critical data and analytics capabilities to increase productivity and efficiency at the machine, site and project level.
